The 2026 pre-season hasn’t even started for the Kansas City Chiefs, and some fans are already expressing some displeasure.
For the first time in just over a decade, the Chiefs did not even make the play-offs last year after finishing with a 6-11 record.
Much improvement will be needed in the coming campaign, and old reliables like Patrick Mahomes will need to step up.
Mahomes is set to miss the first pre-season game for the Chiefs as he steps up his recovery from injury, but he has still been taking part in the training camp over the last few weeks.

But a number of fans have now responded to the clip to mock it, including calling it comical and asking what exactly they think is ‘cookin’.
One fan asked: “Cookin’ who?” A second then stated: “With no defense. Comical.”
Another joked: “Cooking a cold pastrami sandwich looks like,” with a fourth writing: “Hyping up Rice in the big 2026.”
A fifth Kansas City Chiefs fan suggested: “He’s not the guy,” with another simply posting a gif of a tortoise.
The Chiefs will now turn their attention towards their meeting with the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
That match kicks off at 4pm ET and 9pm BST and will be held at the Arrowhead Stadium.
