Kent State MAC men's and women's basketball schedules announced

KENT — MACtion will come earlier for the Kent Statemen's basketball team this season.

The Golden Flashes will tip off the Mid-American Conference season on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at home against Bowling. Green. Tip-off time is to be announced.

Kent State will play a 22-game MAC schedule and face the other 11 conference teams at home and on the road. The Flashes played 18 MAC games during the 2025-26 season and did not face a conference opponent until Dec. 20.

Kent State will host rival Akron on Saturday, Feb. 13 and close out the regular season against the Zips on the road on Friday, March 5.

The Kent State women's basketball team will tip off the MAC season on Saturday, Jan. 2 at Toledo. The conference home opener for the Flashes will be on Saturday, Jan. 9 against Central Michigan.

First-year head coach Fran Recchia's Flashes will play 18 MAC games. They will face Central Michigan and Ohio at home only and Bowling Green and Miami exclusively on the road.

Kent State will play at Akron on Saturday, Jan. 30 and host the Zips on Saturday, Feb. 27.
