Big Blue Madness is coming mega EARLY for the Kentucky Wildcats and with the event being less than 50 days away, we should look at how the roster is shaping out for head coach Mark Pope.

In his third year, Pope is once again dealing with lots of turnover due to graduating upperclassmen and — of course — a couple of players like Jayden Quaintance and Otega Oweh becoming NBA draft selections.

The transfer portal has been somewhat of a double-edged sword — certainly helping Kentucky land players, but has also hurt them with several Wildcats leaving.

For the upcoming season, the Wildcats have one spot left open on their roster and the Big Blue Nation has a pretty good idea of who that could be.

Mark Mitchell, a former Duke Blue Dvil and Missouri Tiger, has a court date set for today that will decide his fate as a future collegiate athlete OR having no other choice than to explore NBA & overseas draft circles.

At 22 years of age, Mitchell would bring lots of experience and is a proven scorer — averaging over 18 points and five assists per game last season.
