Leeds United eyeing deal for Chelsea striker Liam Delap

Leeds United are interested in bringing Chelsea striker Liam Delap to Elland Road, according to Ben Jacobs. Leeds have allowed Joel Piroe leave for West Ham United on loan and Whites manager Daniel Farke wants to sign a replacement. Delap is expected to leave Chelsea and the Blues want around £50 million from suitors. Nottingham Forest and Everton are also keen on the Leeds target, but it is believed around £40m could be enough to get a deal done.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains the Whites’ first-choice number 9, while Lukas Nmecha, Mateo Joseph, and Noah Okafor can provide cover in the position.

Leeds are open to adding one more player in the position and Delap is an option despite ending last season with one goal in 28 Premier League games.

The 23-year-old notched 12 goals in 37 league games in 2024-25 and will fancy his chances of proving himself elsewhere after becoming surplus to requirements at Chelsea.
