The first elimination day of the 2026 Little League World Series has concluded.
Canada, Ohio, Japan and Alabama survived and advanced while Australia, Massachusetts, Dominican Republic and California were eliminated.
The original field of 20 teams was reduced to 16 teams and now the focus turns to the winner's bracket games on Sunday, Aug. 23 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania with four LLWS games on the schedule. In addition, the Little League players get to take a break from competing this evening to enjoy the 2026 MLB Little League Classic at the historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
