Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign French forward Bradley Barcola (23), according to The Athletic. The deal agreed by the two clubs is believed to be in the region of €135m. Terms of the proposed deal were agreed overnight on Wednesday, with the remaining details now being finalised.
Barcola made 49 appearances for Luis Enrique’s side last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists as PSG retained the Ligue 1 title and won the Champions League. Frustrated by his role at the club, the Frenchman informed the Ligue 1 champions that he would not be signing a new contract and he would want to try a new challenge in the Premier League with Liverpool.
Barcola to travel to Liverpool to complete transferWith an agreement now reached in principle, the French international attacker will now travel to Merseyside to sign for his new club. Personal terms are not thought to be an issue with the 23-year-old steadfast in his desire to move to Anfield.
