LSU football players continue to get to know each other as they practice in fall camp. Offensive lineman Jordan Seaton praised his defensive counterparts, especially edges Princewill Umanmielen and Jordan Ross.
"Those dudes are good and they're fast," Seaton said. "They're as advertised. I like going against both of them."
Umanmielen transferred from Ole Miss to follow head coach Lane Kiffin to LSU. He finished 2025 as a third-team All-SEC honoree and looks to build NFL Draft stock as a senior in Baton Rouge. Ross, a former five-star recruit, played in 22 games through two seasons at Tennessee.
The pair bolsters the defensive end room, which needed an immediate boost after a mass exodus in 2025. Umanmielen and Ross bring different skill sets, according to Seaton, but contribute to an aggressive LSU defense.
"They complement each other," Seaton said. "[Umanmielen], speed guy, quick off the edge, Jordan Ross, speed to power guy, so you've got to stand on your toes. You can't always commit to the power rush and turn in your kick set because he might come down your chest, so I think they keep me honest every day."
Umanmielen brings three years of high-level college football experience to LSU. He's racked up 91 career pressures and 12 sacks, according to PFF. Umanmielen posted a 74.3 PFF defensive grade in 2025 and had solid marks rushing the passer and defending the run.
