WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens earlier today.
The 19-year-old joined Manchester City’s Girls’ Academy in October 2025 and she soon impressed head coach Andrée Jeglertz. Oldroyd featured for Manchester City’s Next Gen Under-21 squad in the Professional Game Academy League while she was also handed an inclusion in several first team matchday squads.
On the international stage, Oldroyd is an Under-19 international for Scotland.
After signing her first professional contract with Manchester City, Oldroyd said “It’s unbelievable. As a child, you always dream of this day. It just shows the hard work and dedication you put in, you get a reward at the end. I’m really happy to do so.
“It’s amazing. It’s a dream come true, you couldn’t ask for a better club to be at and I can’t wait to get playing and I’m excited to see what comes next.”
Oldroyd is currently sidelined with a knee injury but she is in rehabilitation and is gradually rebuilding her fitness. The player will be hoping to continue to impress when she returns to competitive football.
