Manchester United forward Amad Diallo could now be out for six weeks following injury training

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo could reportedly be out for up to six weeks after picking up an injury in training in a huge blow for the Red Devils. The Old Trafford club started the new Premier League season with a 2-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday. Amad was unavailable for selection and Man United manager Michael Carrick has been dealt a huge injury blow. Initial test scans have been carried out but the Red Devils are awaiting for further test results to have a clearer picture.

However, the early signs are not looking too positive and the winger could miss the whole of next month and part of October.

Man United return to action next Sunday when they host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford, and they desperately need to return to winning ways.

They play Everton, Manchester City and Fulham in September before games against Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Bournemouth and Chelsea in October.

Carrick has added Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow to his squad, while Carlos Baleba is set to join from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Man United boss will hope to bolster his attack before the summer transfer window closes, and Amad’s injury could force the board to move quickly.

The 24-year-old was a key player under Carrick last season and he will be eager to return to action sooner rather than later.
