When the Colorado Rockies dealt relief pitcher Antonio Senzatela to the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this season, they did get a pitcher in return. Now, that pitcher is coming up to join the Rockies' pitching staff.
On Wednesday, Mark Manfredi, who came to the Rockies from the Brewers, has been called up by the major-league club from the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes. Manfredi is a left-handed pitcher who will find a spot in the Rockies' staff.
Manfredi's new assignment was just part of a flurry of moves that the Rockies made. Right-handed pitcher Jaden Hill was reinstated from the 15-day Injured List, while right-handed pitcher TJ Shook was optioned back down to Albuquerque.
The ballclub also designated left-handed pitcher Parker Mushinski for assignment.
Manfredi came over with infielder Juan Martinez to the Rockies. He made four showings with the Isotopes and allowed six runs on six hits across five innings pitched. Manfredi has made 38 total minor-league appearances this season. He's gone 4-2 with five saves for Albuquerque.
He has totaled a 4.09 ERA, allowing 23 earned runs in 50.2 innings of work. Manfredi also gave up 28 walks while striking out 75.
According to the Rockies' media information office, Manfredi, in 110 career minor-league appearances, has a 13-8 overall record with a 3.76 ERA and six saves. In 186.2 total innings, Manfredi has allowed 78 earned runs.
He was picked in the ninth round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft by the Brewers out of the University of Dayton.
Shook has pitched 7.2 innings at the major-league level in the 2026 regular season. He has seven strikeouts and a 1.83 WHIP.
Mushinski originally spent three seasons with the Houston Astros before coming over to the Rockies this season. In eight games, 6.2 innings pitched, Mushinski was 0-1 this season with a 2.70 ERA and a 2.10 WHIP. He's allowed nine hits and two earned runs while earning two holds during his tenure with Colorado.
Dodgers' series finale Wednesday nightThe Rockies are going to continue their six-game homestand with a Wednesday night series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. After a day off on Thursday, the Cleveland Guardians will be coming into Coors Field for a three-game weekend series.
Colorado just finished up a 5-4 road trip recently, so they put themselves in a good position heading into the Dodgers' series. Yet the Rockies have not been able to put a "W" in the win column against Los Angeles.
