Aug. 26— The Meadow Greens — Ramsey Ladies Golf Club played a round of "Best Shot" on Wednesday. Players were randomly grouped in three or four person teams. Handicaps were added together, divided by the number of players for a team handicap, and then half of the handicap was subtracted from each of the nine holes for adjusted scores. All players teed off, selected the best shot to play from, and continued in the same format through to the hole.
Winners on the front nine with an adjusted score of 23 were the two teams of Ann Christianson, Carrie Schwirtz and Chris Swatfager, and Pat Busker, Barb James, Patti Shatek and Carmel Taylor. On the back nine, Marsha Leathers, Mary Jo Swoboda, Nancy Wesely and Linda Youngmark took a win shooting a 21, and Joyce Anderson, Karen Baier, Mary Christian and Jan Waller scored a win with a 24 (tie broken by handicap hole).
Chip-ins were made by Mary Jo Swoboda on hole No. 1, Marilyn Ryks on hole No. 4, and Barb Ruhter on hole No. 6.
