Medical booked for Juventus star after he agreed Serie B move

Mattia Perin came on as a second-half substitute for Juventus against Frosinone in their season opener at the weekend, but he is set to leave the Allianz Stadium this week, with his medical already booked at Palermo.

Perin has been on the books of Juve since 2018, but he has only started 43 league matches for the club. His limited opportunities in Turin have largely been the result of his role as a backup, while he enjoyed regular football during his loan spell at Genoa.

The move to Palermo would allow Perin to take on a more prominent role while helping the club pursue promotion to Serie A. His experience at the highest level could prove valuable as Palermo look to strengthen their squad for the challenge ahead.
