Medvedev shelves the pickleball plan and looks like a top player again

Daniil Medvedev said a few days ago that he had been contemplating a switch to pickleball. On Sunday night he beat French qualifier Hugo Gaston 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 to reach the second round of the US Open, and the question came back to him on court. “Unfortunately tennis takes too much energy and time. Otherwise I would do something else,” the No. 7 seed told Andrea Petkovic.
