Following his release on Aug. 7, former Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski is back with the Miami Dolphins.
After trying out for the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Gronowski was re-signed by the Dolphins on Sunday. Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Dolphins quarterback Quinn Ewers suffered a groin injury during the Dolphins' Friday preseason game against the Washington Commanders.

Gronowski was terrific in the black and gold last season, passing for 1,741 yards and 10 touchdowns and rushing for an additional 545 yards and 16 scores.
A 6-foot-2, 235-pound signal-caller, Gronowski departed Iowa as the winningest quarterback in college football history with 58 career wins across his time at South Dakota State and Iowa.
In his collegiate career, Gronowski passed for 12,049 yards and 103 touchdowns and ran for 2,312 yards and 53 scores.
