LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) - Liberty senior Dawaun Moody racked up six total touchdowns during a 45-2 win over Campbell Memorial on the opening Thursday night of the high school football season at Leopard Stadium.

The Leopards have now won 13 of the past 15 meetings with the Red Devils dating back to 2011.

Moody scored the opening touchdown of the game before adding three more as the Leopards took a 25-0 lead into halftime. The senior standout would then add two more rushing scores in the second half.

"You always love it, man. Like I always say, the win is more important," Moody said. "Six touchdowns is great, but putting up 45 points on my on my team, man, that counts more."

Defensively, Xavier McDougald had a sack and forced fumble while Aaron Barcley recovered the fumble. Ritchie Sly also recorded an interception during the Leopards' win.

"This is where you want to be, now we get ready for week two. We got a Niles program that's that got a new coac,h and we got to see what they're all about" Liberty head coach Dominic Prologo said. "But week one, we got a huge win today. A little disappointing in our safety at the end, I'm a defensive coach, but certainly to put up 45 points, I'm happy."

After a 9-win campaign last year, Liberty opens up the season 1-0 and will travel to Niles next Friday, Aug. 28.

With the loss, Campbell falls to 0-1 and will host Valley Christian for the home opener on Friday, August 28.
