BURLINGTON, VT - The Vermont women's soccer team may have had to settle for a tie in the season opener, but it didn't come without some big first for the season.
Each of the Catamount's two goals would come from ladies that had never scored a collegaite goal before.
Farrah Yaacoub got off to a good start in this one scoring the program's first tally of the 2026 season, and the first for the junior that missed significant time a season ago.
That one made it 1-0, and then with the game tied 1-1, Abby Ballinger would score a go-ahead score, the first of her very early career, as it was also the first career game played.
