Goaltender Trey Augustine, chosen 41st overall in the 2023 draft, had a stellar junior season at Michigan State University. He posted a record of 24 wins, 9 losses, and 1 overtime loss, along with a goals-against average of 2.11 and a save percentage of .929, including three shutouts in 34 games. Augustine also made two appearances with the Griffins, gaining valuable experience at the professional level.
