NBC's first season of 'Sunday Night Baseball' on its platforms, including Peacock, has proven to be a significant success, drawing an average of 2.7 million viewers across 14 exclusive games. This marks a remarkable 48% increase compared to the previous year's average of 1.83 million viewers when the franchise was held by ESPN.

The data provided by NBC, which is sourced from Nielsen and Adobe Analytics, reflects the combined viewership from both traditional television broadcasts and streaming. The network's coverage has achieved the highest national TV viewership for 'Sunday Night Baseball' since 2007, highlighting a resurgence in interest for the series.

In addition to the exclusive games on NBC and Peacock, NBC Sports is set to showcase a total of 27 prime time, holiday, and special-event games this season. The lineup will also feature 34 afternoon non-exclusive games available on both platforms, broadening access for fans.

Comparatively, Fox Television Network has reported an average viewership of 2.44 million for its baseball coverage, according to Sports Media Watch. This indicates a competitive landscape among major broadcasters as they vie for audience attention during the baseball season.

In terms of advertising revenue, the total estimated spend for all Major League Baseball national TV games, which includes broadcasts from NBC, Fox, ESPN, MLB Network, and Yes Network, has reached $214 million. Leading the charge in national TV advertising for Major League Baseball are companies such as Liberty Mutual, ACE Hardware, Allstate Insurance, T-Mobile, USAA, Geico, FanDuel, Dairy Queen, Progressive Insurance, and Mattress Firm. As of now, Fox has secured an estimated $69.4 million in national TV ad spend this season, followed by NBC with $30 million and ESPN at $25.2 million.
