Class of 2027 four-star power forward Dawson Battie is said to be visiting Nebraska basketball. He was originally set to visit in October, but has now moved up his visit date to September 18-20. This was reported by Husker Online’s Robin Washut (subscription needed) on Friday afternoon.

Battie is the 22nd overall player in the 2027 class, the sixth overall player at his position, and the third overall player in his class from the state of Texas according to the Rivals Industry rankings.

The six-foot-eight, 215-pound playmaker has made several visits. He most recently visited Stanford in June. He has made two visits to Nebraska over the last year, including last August and February for the game against Illinois.

Currently, the Huskers have one commitment in the 2027 class in Ty Schlagel. Beyond that, the program is looking to add high school players to the group. Battie is certainly an elite player and will immediately help Nebraska with scoring and rebounding. His moving up his visit is certainly good news for the program.
