One Brooklyn Nets star found himself playing a pickup basketball game against Timothee Chalamet at Kylie Jenner’s house.

Despite being a die-hard New York Knicks fan, Chalamet didn’t stop himself from associating with the rival, as he joined up with a star from the rival Brooklyn Nets.

But even the Nets star was confused as to how he ended up in this situation, especially considering he isn’t a big star in the NBA yet.

Fans who have signed up to Egor Demin’s Telegram channel got an interesting update yesterday, as the Brooklyn Nets star shared his brush with celebrity.

Much to his own surprise, Demin revealed that he was playing basketball with Timothee Chalamet at Kylie Jenner’s house, while she and her daughter with Travis Scott, Stormi, watched them play.

“Right now, I’m playing basketball with Timothee Chalamet at Kylie Jenner’s house. I’m not entirely sure how I ended up in this situation. Kylie and Stormi are right here on the bench, watching us play.”

Of course, this story isn’t exactly surprising when taken out of context, as Chalamet is a massive basketball fan who has shared his admiration for the sport and its players on numerous occasions.

However, Chalamet, as mentioned before, is a massive New York Knicks fan – the direct rivals and cross-town neighbours of the Brooklyn Nets.

For Chalamet, who grew up in the 2000s, when the Nets were in New Jersey, the rivalry between the two sides might not be as intense, as he doesn’t see any debate about which team represents New York.

Chalamet was present courtside at Madison Square Garden for many of the Knicks’ playoff games during their 2026 run to the NBA championship.

And the vaunted actor has made his love for the Knicks no secret. Perhaps he only saw Demin as an NBA player and not a player for the Knicks’ rivals.

But the optics of a fan like Chalamet effectively fraternising with the enemy of the Knicks is an odd move.

It’s unlikely to have any serious consequences for him, but one would imagine that he would take the beef seriously given how big a fan he is of the Knicks.
