Newcastle United have reportedly made a bid to sign promising Belgian forward Matías Fernández-Pardo.
French side Lille are keen to hang on to Fernández-Pardo but according to L'Equipe, the 21-year-old Belgian is keen to leave the club this summer after having previously been linked with a move to Atlético de Madrid.
The Magpies are said to have submitted a €40 million (approx £34.2 million) bid for the player who featured off the bench three times for Belgium at this summer's World Cup.
Fernández-Pardo initially joined Lille from Gent at the start of the 2024/25 season and has since featured 67 times for the club in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and making nine assists.
