Neyland Stadium sound system upgraded, Level 3 concourse improved for 2026

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Just when you thought Neyland Stadium couldn't get any louder. Tennessee Athletics has released details on a new state-of-the-art sound system and other improvements for the 2026 Tennessee football season.

South videoboard speaker stacks have been replaced. Dozens of amplifiers will blanket the stadium under the south overhang and the north side of the east and west skyboxes.

A total of 15 subwoofers, 11 full-range loudspeakers and 27 compact outdoor loudspeakers will complement the speakers that were installed before the 2024 season below the overhang of the lower bowl. There were previously no subwoofers.

The third level of the south endzone now features a wider concourse on the southeast corner next to the elevators. An outdated restroom was removed and 12 new fixtures were added.

New concessions walk-through markets, like those at the north end of the stadium, will be installed prior to the Kennesaw State game.

Eight new water bottle filler fountains were installed on the third level, as well as more TV screens so fans don't miss out on any of the action.

Neyland Stadium has undergone a series of major upgrades since 2022, and Pilot inked a 20-year sponsorship deal in 2024 that included making the Knoxville-based company the presenting sponsor of the renovations.
