Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi is on the verge of joining Leeds United, according to Sky Germany.
The German broadcaster reports that the Switzerland international has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club on a contract until 2029.
Leeds are now working on an official offer, which is expected to be submitted to Gladbach soon.
After 11 years at Borussia-Park, Elvedi is understood to be open to a move to the Premier League and is positive about the prospect of playing under German coach Daniel Farke at Leeds.
Elvedi has just one year remaining on his contract with Gladbach, making this a logical time for Die Fohlen to cash in on the defender.
He could replace Sebastiaan Bornauw at Leeds, with Hamburger SV interested in signing the 27-year-old Belgian centre-back on loan with an option to buy.
Should Bornauw complete his move to the North German club, it would pave the way for Elvedi to join Leeds.
