Just a few months ago, it didn't seem like right-hander Brayan Bello of the Boston Red Sox was that happy about the team's decision to put him in the bullpen.

Bello had struggled a good bit as a starter, something the Red Sox wanted to try to fix.

Instead of giving up on the young right-hander, as they knew that he had above-average stuff at 27 years old and could be a big piece of this team in the short and long term, they put him in the bullpen. That has obviously been a great idea, as he's statistically been the best reliever in Major League Baseball ERA-wise.

That even includes being better than San Diego Padres superstar closer Mason Miller, who now owns a 0.86 ERA. It went down 0.2 after StatMuse’s post.

Regarding the other numbers, Miller has some of an upper hand on Bello, just because of how ridiculous his strikeout stuff is, striking out 95 hitters in 52.1 innings.

Bello has also been really good on that front as well, however, striking out 45 hitters in 155 at-bats as a reliever.
