College football is home to some of the best atmospheres in sports, and it is all possible thanks to the passionate fan bases filling up enormous stadiums. Penn State has one of the biggest, and most iconic stadiums in the country, and it just got a little bit bigger this summer.
Beaver Stadium is currently undergoing renovations, with the iconic venue expected to add a few thousand extra seats. The updated capacity could make it the biggest stadium in college football history, but there is something else that Nittany Lions fans should know.
On the west side of the stadium — which was already high up in the air — the new seats are about 30 feet higher. Now, a stadium that is so frightening for opponents to play in, especially during White Out games, will be terrifying to home fans who fear heights.
A lot of changes will be coming to Beaver Stadium during the 2026 season and fans need to be ready for it. The viewing experience in Happy Valley is about to get scarier for all parties involved.
