Notre Dame should be excited with new Topps set featuring CJ Carr

Trading cards have made a massive comeback in the hobby space, and Notre Dame fans might have extra incentive to join the craze.

Topps announced that for the first time, Bowman Football will feature officially licensed cards from both the NFL and college football in the same packs.

The development comes after Fanatics Collectibles, Topps' parent company, reached a multiyear agreement with the NFL and the NFL Players Association that returned Topps to the licensed NFL card business. The arrangement gives Topps the ability to use the logos, colors, uniforms, and names of all NFL teams, as well as feature players through the deal with the NFLPA.

For Notre Dame fans, this opportunity could let athletes be collected from their time in South Bend and beyond to their transition to the NFL. Notre Dame players have been featured in previous Bowman University products. According to the 2025 Bowman Chrome University Football checklist, players including Boubacar Traore and Jaden Greathouse were in the set.

Topps has not announced a full checklist for the new Bowman Football product, and so which players are going to be included has not been disclosed yet.

NEWS: For the first time ever, Bowman Football will include officially-licensed College Football AND NFL trading cards in the same packs.
