Chasing a historic 25th Grand Slam title, Novak Djokovic has backed himself to win the 2026 US Open as he prepares for the final major of the season, which begins on August 23.

Djokovic last won a Grand Slam in 2023 when he defeated Daniil Medvedev at the US Open to claim his record-tying 24th major title. However, the 39-year-old is yet to add another Grand Slam to his tally as he continues to chase the historic feat of becoming the first tennis player to win 25 majors, surpassing Margaret Court’s record.

As he prepares to compete at the final Grand Slam of the 2026 tour, Djokovic is also promoting his Amazon Prime documentary, Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter.

During a recent promotional event, he was asked to count his 24 Grand Slam titles. Djokovic went through his major victories from 2011, 2015, 2021 and 2023 before boldly predicting himself as the winner of the 2026 US Open.

Djokovic’s fans will be hoping his prediction comes true as he looks to reach another milestone in tennis history.

However, the Serbian star faces a strong challenge from a number of contenders, including Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
