The Indiana Fever could be shorthanded against the New York Liberty on Saturday as Aliyah Boston has joined Caitlin Clark on the injury report. Clark has been on the injury report since the first week of the 2026 WNBA season because of a lingering back issue. She has been listed as probable before nearly every game.

Boston has made occasional appearances while managing a right lower leg injury. She returned to the injury list on Friday, listed as questionable. With the Fever playing for the second time in less than 48 hours on Saturday and then visiting Chicago for a back-to-back on Sunday, it seems the All-Star center may not suit up for the Fever in New York.

After the latest injury update, Fever fans went into panic mode about their chances of avoiding a second consecutive loss after Thursday’s 91-85 defeat to the Wings in Dallas.

“Obvious belt loading,” one fan said.

More reactions followed.

The New York Liberty also have significant injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s primetime clash against the Indiana Fever. 2025 WNBA Finals MVP Jonquel Jones and Leonie Fiebich are listed as questionable. Jones injured her left ankle on Tuesday against the Chicago Sky. She left the game after six minutes and didn’t return.

Meanwhile, Fiebich, who started all 14 games she played in while averaging 29.1 minutes per game, is in contention to return for the first time since July 3. For the past seven weeks, Fiebich has been recovering from a foot injury.

Jones and Fiebich could be decisive if they play. With Aliyah Boston probably sitting this contest out, Indiana likely won’t have enough depth to handle Jones and Breanna Stewart.

Meanwhile, Fiebich’s perimeter offense could cause Indiana even more problems than it is already bracing for with Sabrina Ionescu. The Liberty are 6-2 in their last eight games, playing at home after a four-day break. Even if Jones and Fiebich sit, New York will be in an advantageous position over a potentially fatigued Fever team.
