Odell Beckham Jr. shared a sweet moment with his son for the first time in a Giants uniform.
Ahead of the team’s preseason opener on Saturday, Aug. 15 against the Minnesota Vikings, the star wide receiver, 33, embraced his son, Zydn, 4, on the sidelines at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
In a video shared by the NFL, Beckham — who last played for New York in 2018 — is seen approaching his mom, Heather Van Norman, and Zydn. The NFL star picked his son up and hugged him before the two did a playful handshake and shared a fist bump.
After putting Zydn back down on the field, Beckham gave a hug to his mom, who sported the wideout’s No. 3 LSU jersey.

Beckham welcomed Zydn in February 2022 with ex Lauren Wood, just four days after his Super Bowl victory with the Los Angeles Rams.
Sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple split in September 2023. In an exclusive interview in October 2024, Wood, 32, told PEOPLE that the pair continue to co-parent, revealing that, in some ways, their new dynamic has made their bond “stronger.”
In February 2025, Beckham made rare comments about his son during an interview with PEOPLE. At the time, Beckham said he was focused on “figuring out my life”— especially as it pertains to Zydn. “Where do I want to live? Where can my son lay his head? How do I establish a future for him?” he said.

He also said he hopes he can teach his son the importance of showing love. “For me, I just hope he learns love. I feel like this world is so full of hate and comparisons and jealousy and all these other things. I hope that I can instill in him everything that my father instilled in me. And for my son to have the right moral compass, because everybody’s going to go on their own journeys,” Beckham said.
The receiver added, “I’m not going to be able to be there with him through every encounter. So just being able to instill the right tools in him to be a good man, respectful, morally sound, and he’ll be okay.”
