Official race results: 2026 IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington D.C.

After starting on the front row, American driver Kyle Kirkwood dominated much of Sunday's Freedom 250 Grand Prix on the streets of Washington DC. 

Kirkwood led 128 of 147 laps, and the Andretti driver claimed victory over Arrow McLaren's Christian Lundgaard in second and Andretti teammate Will Power in third. The margin of victory was just over three seconds, but at one point, he was over 15 seconds up the road

Pole-sitter and championship leader Alex Palou finished 20th, which is his second-worst result of the season. Palou suffered a drive-through penalty, slow stop, and mid-race incident that derailed his day.

13 of the 25 starters finished on the lead lap.
