Ohio State is now in full pads for fall camp, and that means things are starting to get as real as ever. There are only a few weeks left until the Buckeyes open the 2026 season, and we're starting to get a lot of interviews, sound bites, and highlights coming out of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. On Thursday, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia met with the media to provide a fall camp update on the defense, and we have the full 12-minute press conference thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel.
Patricia was as engaging as ever and offered some insight on retooling the defense, who is standing out, bringing in the new players, working with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and a lot more. You are likely familiar with Patricia after hearing and seeing how he goes about his business during his first season last year, but you can get to know a little more after watching him take questions and provide answers with a jovial attitude we've become accustomed to.
We'll continue to follow more interviews and all things coming out of fall camp, so be sure to check back with us here at Buckeyes Wire. Meanwhile, Ohio State kicks off its season against Ball State at home on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 12:30 p.m. ET.
