Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner has opened the door to further signings before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Forest have so far completed five signings, four of whom were identified by Glasner as key targets.
Glasner had been very open about his desire for two more signings before the transfer window closes, and Forest have made strong progress to meet these demands.
On Thursday, the Reds announced the club-record signing of Liam Delap, who joined in a £50 million deal from Chelsea.
The 23-year-old striker has been of interest to Forest for some time, and was one of Glasner's targets at his former club, Crystal Palace.
Such business, coupled with his previous words, led to the belief that only one more signing, a wingback, would take place this summer.
But, for the first time, Glasner has opened the door to further incomings ahead of next week's deadline.
Speaking on Friday ahead of Forest's trip to face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, Glasner addressed Forest's remaining transfer plans.
Further signings possibleGlasner had previously been categorical in his insistence that Forest would only sign two more players.
Since then, Delap has arrived on Trentside, but Glasner's tone has changed.
On Friday, he said, for the first time, that there could be more than one further signing ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.
"As I mentioned, it's two players [that we wanted to sign]," he reiterated. "One we have added, so I guess it will be at least one more signing."
The expectation is for Forest to sign Daniel Munoz from Palace, with Glasner admitting that a deal is close, though he did not specify Munoz's name.
"A deal's quite close to being done," he revealed, "But from today onwards, my focus is on the Liverpool match."
