SAN FRANCISCO ― Minnesota Lynx rookie point guard Olivia Miles was injured during the Lynx's Aug. 19 game against the Golden State Valkyries.
Miles had another spectacular performance for the Lynx as she tallied 20 points, seven assists and five rebounds before she left the game with an apparent ankle injury.
The 23-year-old was defending Valkyries guard Veronica Burton when she awkwardly planted her foot, appearing to roll her ankle when she stepped on teammate Napheesa Collier's foot while defending a pass. She hobbled her way to the baseline before falling to the ground in pain with 4:37 left in the game.
