Olivia Miles keeps impressing and rewriting the WNBA rookie record books.

The Minnesota Lynx guard delivered another big moment against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. She created enough space to get Veronica Burton moving backward. Miles then used a sharp step-back to separate herself and went for a booming 3-pointer.

The shot pushed Miles past A’ja Wilson for thefourth-most points by a rookie in WNBA history. She also sits just eight points behind Paige Bueckers for third place on the rookie scoring list. Another strong scoring night will move Miles into that other piece of league history.

The 2026 No. 2 overall pick is enjoying a remarkable debut season. Minnesota selected Miles after a standout collegiate career with Notre Dame.

The campaign is not over yet, but Miles has already established herself as one of the league’s top young stars, one milestone after another.

Miles has turned her rookie season into a statement.

She has played 34 games, averaging 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. Her numbers put her among the league’s most productive rookies.

Miles has also found her rhythm as an efficient scorer. She shoots 49.7 percent from the field, 40.0 percent on three-point attempts and 87.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The efficiency adds another layer to her game. Miles can create her own shot. She can attack the rim and also stretch defenses from deep with a 55.5 percent effective field-goal percentage.

Miles’ quick movement and playmaking stands out just as much. She averages 6.1 assists per game, along with 1.2 steals. Her all-around production gives Minnesota another player who can impact the game in multiple ways.

The Lynx guard is not simply adjusting to the WNBA. With moves like hers, she is making an immediate impact.
