The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the hottest teams in baseball, completing a weekend sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday and winning nine straight games.
They’ll hit the road Monday to begin a series against the Seattle Mariners, and interim manager Don Mattingly has made several changes to his lineup after resting Alec Bohm and Luis Arraez in Sunday’s series finale.
Phillies Announce Bohm DecisionBohm has been the Phillies’ hottest hitter lately. He went 5-for-9 across his two starts against the Cardinals, including a walk-off triple in Friday’s series opener.
After sitting Sunday while dealing with some hamstring tightness, Bohm will return to the lineup Monday night. He’ll bat fifth and start at first base, suggesting the Phillies don’t view the issue as serious.
Bohm has recorded six multi-hit games over his last 11 starts and has collected at least one hit in 10 of those games.
Arraez will also return to the starting lineup, while Kyle Schwarber moves back to first base. Bryce Harper will start in right field after serving as the designated hitter Sunday.

Bohm’s 2026 SeasonIt’s been a challenging year for Bohm at times during his seventh season with Philadelphia. However, he could be catching fire at the perfect time as the Phillies make their postseason push.
Bohm is currently batting .248 with 49 runs, 115 hits, 14 home runs and 75 RBIs across 125 games and 464 at-bats. He’s also slugging .390.
