Pictures: First look at potential Barcelona home shirt for 2027/28 season

Barcelona may be heading back towards a more traditional look for the 2027/28 season, with an early leak offering a first glimpse of what could become the club’s next home kit.

An image shared by the X account @memorabilia1899, which specialises in Barcelona-related kit and product leaks, points towards several major changes from the design being used during the 2026/27 campaign. 

The account behind the leak has also acknowledged that early kit designs can change before production, placing the reliability of its information at around 80%.

The proposed shirt features darker, more traditional shades of blaugrana, narrow vertical stripes and, most notably, a button-down collar.

Barcelona have experimented with several different home kit designs over the years, but a button-down collar would give the shirt a distinctly classic feel and mark a clear break from the more modern look of recent seasons.

The design remains far from official, and there is still plenty of time for changes before Nike and Barcelona unveil the final 2027/28 home kit. 

However, the first images have already given fans an idea of the direction being considered.

The strongest feature of the leaked Barcelona home kit is its colour combination.

The proposed design moves away from the brighter shades associated with the current 2026/27 shirt and instead brings back deeper tones of blue and maroon. 

The front of the kit would feature narrow vertical stripes, with both colours appearing in a more balanced and traditional pattern.

Furthermore, the leaked 2027/28 proposal appears to lean heavily into Barcelona’s traditional blaugrana identity.

The stripes would be narrower and more uniform across the front, creating a cleaner look than some of the more experimental Barcelona shirts seen in recent years.

Another major feature would be the use of yellow for the main branding.

Both the Nike logo and the Spotify and Midea sponsor details are expected to appear in yellow, creating a strong contrast against the dominant blue and maroon colours.

The shorts would also follow the classic theme, with the leak pointing towards a dark blue design.

Notably, the collar is likely to generate the most discussion.

The leaked Barcelona 2027/28 home shirt design suggests that Nike could introduce a button-down collar, a feature rarely associated with Barcelona’s home shirts in recent decades.

It would give the kit a more traditional appearance and add a detail that separates it from the 2026/27 design.

Whether Nike ultimately keeps that feature remains to be seen, as there is still almost a full year before the 2027/28 Barcelona kit is expected to be officially presented.
