Positive injury updates for Packers coming out of Tuesday's practice

The Green Bay Packers welcomed back running back Josh Jacobs and edge rusher Lukas Van Ness to practice on Tuesday, and several other players returned to 11-on-11 work during Tuesday's practice.

Jacobs returned to practice after missing over a week with a groin injury, while Van Ness is back after not practicing on Sunday due to a minor shoulder injury.

The Packers also got long-awaited returns to 11-on-11 work from cornerback Carrington Valentine, guard Aaron Banks, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave and rookie cornerback Domani Jackson on Tuesday.

Valentine has slowly worked back from a hamstring injury, and he will now re-enter the competition for a starting job at cornerback with Brandon Cisse, Keisean Nixon and Benjamin St-Juste.

Banks and Hargrave, two veterans, have been limited by knee injuries to start camp. Banks' return is a good sign that his knee tendonitis is starting to recede. It's possible Banks is feeling the pressure of the competition building at left guard with rookie Jager Burton.

Jackson is getting 11-on-11 work for the first time at training camp. He was eased back slowly while recovering from core muscle surgery. The sixth-round pick will need to make up for lost time in a competitive cornerback room.

One injury to monitor: receiver Bo Melton left with trainers after diving for an attempted catch and did not re-enter practice on Tuesday.

Bo Melton just came back outside without his jersey or helmet. Got banged up on a deep ball that McKinney broke up a couple minutes ago. He seems to be in good spirits, though.

Receiver Skyy Moore was also shaken up midway through the practice.

Skyy Moore was shaken up during the 2-minute drive and is trying to work out his discomfort while standing behind the returners during kickoff return.
