When taking a look back at Alabama football's statistical leaders from last season, it's clear the Crimson Tide will be tasked with replacing a significant amount of production.
In all, Alabama is replacing not only their leading passer at the quarterback position from last season in Ty Simpson, but also the top rusher and receiver in terms of yardage, as well as the Tide's defensive leader in total tackles.
There are a few statistical leaders who return though, as well as others who ranked either second-or-third last fall in those respective stats.
Here is a preseason prediction as to who leads the Crimson Tide this fall in stats such as rushing, tackles, and much more.
Passing Yards/Touchdowns- Prediction: Keelon Russell
Both of Russell and Austin Mack will both likely see notable playing time this fall, but the preseason pick to lead the Crimson Tide in passing goes to the sophomore. The pick to win the quarterback competition, Russell could be set for a breakout 2026 season, should he win the job.
Rushing Yards- Prediction: EJ Crowell
Alabama as a whole struggled to run the ball last season, with Jam Miller ending the year as the Crimson Tide's top rusher at 504 yards on 103 attempts. Both of Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley ranked second and third in rushing at 284 and 224 yards, respectively, for Alabama a year ago, but the preseason pick to lead the Crimson Tide in the stat this fall is Crowell, a highly-touted true freshman who will only continue to emerge as the season goes along.
Rushing Touchdowns- Prediction: Daniel Hill
Hill ended last season as Alabama's leader in rushing touchdowns, racking up six over 14 games played. The junior is likely set for a career-year statistically, one in which Hill is likely to be Alabama's go-to option around the goal line.
Receiving Yards- Prediction: Ryan Coleman-Williams
Coleman-Williams was Alabama's second-leading receiver in terms of yardage last fall with 689 on 49 receptions, a total second behind only Germie Bernard. Having racked up a combined 1,500+ yards over the last two seasons, the junior is undoubtedly Alabama's top pass catching option entering the season, and could be set for a career year.
Receiving Touchdowns- Prediction: Ryan Coleman-Williams
A massive 2026 season could be in store for Coleman-Williams from a receiving standpoint overall. The junior tied for third in receiving touchdowns for Alabama a year ago with four, and is the favorite to do so in 2026 with Isaiah Horton, Bernard, and Josh Cuevas all gone, although Lotzeir Brooks is also a potential option.
Tackles- Prediction: Caleb Woodson
Both of Alabama's top two tacklers from a year ago have departed at the linebacker position in Deontae Lawson and Justin Jefferson, with Woodson a name who steps into one of those two spots this fall. Woodson had 152 over three seasons at Virginia Tech prior to transferring this past offseason, and is likely set for a huge year in Tuscaloosa.
Sacks- Prediction: Yhonzae Pierre
Pierre was Alabama's sack leader a year ago, and is the pick to do so once again entering the fall. The senior ended last season with eight sacks, as well as a team-high 14.5 TFL, and could easily record a similar total in 2026, if not surpass it.
Interceptions- Prediction: Bray Hubbard
As for the final prediction, Hubbard not only led the Crimson Tide with four interceptions last season, but the SEC overall. Hubbard also has seven across the last two years alone, is likely to lead Alabama yet again, though Zabien Brown and Dijon Lee Jr. are also players who could do so.
