Eintracht travel to England for the second of two friendlies this week. Six days before the opening competitive fixture of the 2026/27 season, against SC St. Tönis in the DFB Cup first round, the Eagles play Brentford FC in their final warm-up match. Kick-off at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday 15 August is at 15:00 local time, or 16:00 CEST. EintrachtTV+ will go on air shortly before that – presented by Indeed.
A week on from the clash against Hull City AFC, which ended in a 2-0 win after two halves of 60 minutes at the maxworx Sportpark in Dreieich, Eintracht take on Premier League opposition again. In between that was the 5-1 success at fourth-tier side FSV Frankfurt on Wednesday evening.
“Now we’ve got another two days of training and then we face top opponents at the weekend,” said Ansgar Knauff. “I think we’ve come a fairly long way already, but Saturday will be a good gauge of where we’re at. We want to implement what we’ve been working on over the past weeks on the pitch.”
Brentford finished in ninth place in the Premier League last season, narrowly losing out on qualification for the UEFA Conference League to Brighton & Hove Albion because of goal difference.
