Progressive corporate logo coming to 13 college football fields

The sports viewing experience hasn't been complete without Progressive insurance advertisements in recent years. During the upcoming college football season, Progressive's presence stands to be even more pronounced.

13 college football programs have come to an agreement with Progressive to display the insurance giant's logo on their respective fields this year.

“Most of these opportunities that the NCAA opened up are going to singular brands. That Progressive looked at an opportunity to scale a solution and have a presence on 13 different football fields is one of a kind. They were super strategic in their school selection, a lot of analytics, but also looking for programs that really matched up with their identity as a brand," Learfield executive vice president of global partnerships Shawn Hegan told Sports Business Journal.

Learfield brokered the deal between Progressive and the programs.
