Rams rookie Keagen Trost ruled out after 1st-quarter hamstring injury

Keagen Trost made his preseason debut on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Los Angeles Rams’ third-round rookie didn’t play beyond the first quarter. He suffered a hamstring injury in the first 15 minutes and was promptly ruled out by the team.

Trost had been playing right tackle for the Rams in the preseason opener before going down. Los Angeles drafted him 93rd overall out of Missouri.

Trost is essentially a lock for the 53-man roster but it’s unfortunate to see him go down so early in his NFL debut. Hopefully it’s only a minor injury and the team is being cautious because he has a real chance to be the backup right tackle behind Warren McClendon Jr. this season.

The Rams have good depth along the offensive line but with the starters and David Quessenberry not dressing, they'll have to dip into that depth for the rest of the game.
