The Ravens are nearing the end of their first offseason under head coach Jesse Minter and a pair of the team's veterans have identified areas they believe have improved since John Harbaugh's departure at the end of last season.
Wide receiver Rashod Bateman said that Minter and his staff are "communicative, talkative and informative" and that was something "we never had here" in the past. Bateman added that change in style has extended to the way the staff hones in on granular items of importance.
“From head coach to [offensive coordinator] to receivers coach, everybody really harps on the details and the small things, and that’s just not what we were in our past,” Bateman said, via Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com. “I think, right now, we’re learning how to play fast, smart football. Trusting the training, trusting the call, trusting our teammates. That’s the difference right now, honestly.”
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley signed on to Bateman's view by saying Minter's staff "just values details and the finer details a little bit more" than the previous regime. It remains to be seen how that will translate to the standings, but a winning season in 2026 would be a pretty good sign that team owner Steve Bisciotti was right about it being time for a new approach in Baltimore after 18 years under Harbaugh.
