DETROIT — The Red Wings have added size and potentially offense in their organization in bringing home a Michiganian.
The Wings acquired forward Sutter Muzzatti, an Okemos native, Aug. 20 from Nashville in exchange for future considerations.
The Wings promptly signed Muzzatti, 23, to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Muzzatti is coming off his best college season, putting up 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points (in 37 games) at Notre Dame. Muzzatti spent the previous three years at RPI, where he had 19 goals and 31 assists for 50 points, over 78 games.
Muzzatti is listed at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds and was drafted in the fifth round (143rd overall) in the 2023 Entry Draft by the Predators.
