In need of wide receiver help, the Indianapolis Colts are reportedly signing veteran Keenan Allen.

According to Jordan Schultz, this is a one-year deal worth up to $8.32 million.

Shane Steichen and Allen have previous ties from their time together with the LA Chargers from 2014 through 2020. ESPN's Stephen Holder posted on X that Steichen and Allen have been in "constant dialogue" throughout the summer.

Allen's familiarity with Steichen's system should help him hit the ground running.

Allen is a six-time Pro Bowler, most recently accomplishing that feat during the 2023 season. From 2017 through 2023, Allen surpassed 1,100 receiving yards in five of those seven seasons.

His production the last two years hasn't been at that same level, but he's still totaled over 1,500 yards during that span with 11 touchdowns.

His presence will give the Colts' receiver room a needed boost. Alec Pierce remains sidelined for the time being, while Ashton Dulin had been the front-runner for the WR3 role following Michael Pittman's offseason departure.
