Eintracht Frankfurt are planning to make a move for Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, the Kicker sports magazine said on Sunday evening.
According to the report, the 24-year-old player is willing to leave Freiburg in the current transfer window, while Frankfurt are looking for a new number one.
Other clubs, however, are also interested in Atubolu, among them Napoli, Olympique Marseille and Bournemouth. Freiburg have already reacted to his potential departure with the signing of Mio Backhaus from Werder Bremen.
Frankfurt were planning to start the season with Kauã Santos and Michael Zetterer, but both have fail to impress during pre-season and, according to Kicker, the club has reconsidered its position after the 7-0 thrashing by Brentford in a friendly match on Saturday.
Freiburg are reportedly demanding a transfer fee of up to €20 million ($23.2 million).
