Panthers starting quarterback Bryce Young played 11 snaps on Friday against the Jaguars.
He completed 5 of 6 passes for 49 yards and a 100.7 passer rating despite being pressured on three of his throws.
In Young's two drives, the Panthers punted and scored a touchdown on a seven-play, 58-yard drive. Jonathon Brooks scored on a 1-yard run.
Kenny Pickett replaced Young.
The Panthers ended the half with a 61-yard field goal by Ryan Fitzgerald.
In his rookie season, Fitzgerald didn't try any kicks of 60 yards and had a long of 57 yards.
