Saints beat Cowboys 27-24 to end the preseason

The New Orleans Saints finished the preseason on a high note, defeating the Dallas Cowboys 27-24. The Saints found efficiency in the run game, and each backup quarterback made a final push for the QB2 job.

Saints ScoringK Daniel Carlson – 38-yard field goal

Newly signed Saints kicker Daniel Carlson opened up scoring for the black and gold with a 38-yard field goal.

WR Barion Brown – 7-yard touchdown run

Wide receiver Barion Brown continues to shine, this time on the ground, rushing for a 7-yard touchdown.

QB Spencer Rattler – 8-yard touchdown run

Spencer Rattler adds another rushing touchdown for the Saints, reaching the end zone after an 8-yard run.

RB Zamir White – 11-yard touchdown run

For their third rushing touchdown of the day, newly acquired running back Zamir White finds the end zone on an 11-yard run.

K Daniel Carlson – 53-yard field goal

With less than two minutes remaining in the game, New Orleans looks to their veteran kicker to win the game. Carlson nails a 53-yard attempt to put the Saints over the edge.
