Fans inside Stade Saputo were treated to a thriller on Saturday evening as CF Montreal and LA Galaxy played out a 2-2 draw.
The night started off with fans awaiting the arrival of Chilean star Alexis Sánchez, who was set to make his home debut.
The attention was first on Daniel Rios, who opened the scoring with a redirection from point-blank range.
Unfortunately for Montreal fans, their initial jubilation was cut short. The visitors struck twice thanks to goals from Ruben Ramos Junior and Maya Yoshida for 2-1.
However, things then blew up for the leaders just after Sánchez entered the pitch.
Goalkeeper J.T. Marcinkowski was shown a red card after coming out of his box to try to deflect a one-on-one challenge. He instead took down the oncoming player.
It means LA Galaxy went down to 10 for a third consecutive match.
And that man advantage allowed Montreal to rally back into the fight. Prince Owusu leapt highest in the box for his fourth goal in a row.
Chucky Lozano then missed a golden opportunity to steal all three-point at the death.
Surely a thrilling night in Quebec!
