The Los Angeles Rams, along with the rest of the NFL world, are waiting with bated breath for the return of Aaron Donald.
For weeks now, the Rams and Donald have hinted at his return, but no official announcement has been made yet.
Although Donald has worked out for the team twice, head coach Sean McVay says they haven't set a timetable for his return or whether he will return.
“Here’s what I would say; we have a great dialog,” McVay said Saturday night, via team transcript. “It's going to be on his timeline. When he feels good about having clarity, whether that is yes or whether that ends up being a no, we have had some tentative decisions behind the scenes.”
Since the Rams signed Myles Garrett, it seems like he is eager to return to the team. Now it seems it's not a question of if, but when.
And although no timetable has been set, McVay hopes this wraps up sooner rather than later.
"I am hopeful that it will be sooner rather than later but I also want to respect when he does feel that clarity will come, I think there is a chance we will be closer to that than not, but again, I don't want to say too much or put some sort of invisible deadline on something that doesn't exist in my mind for him," he said.
