Caitlin Clark was full of praise for one WNBA rival, jokingly dropping a hint on who she wouldn’t mind seeing in a Fever jersey next.
The Indiana Fever are suddenly looking like an absolute nightmare for the rest of the league, turning their season around and playing genuine championship-caliber basketball.
At the heart of it all is Caitlin Clark, who is dropping a monster 22 points and 8.3 assists a night while completely running the show.
Their recent 101–95 road win in Toronto wasn’t just another W, either, it stretched their win streak to five straight games, pushed their record to 24–12, and tied a franchise win record. Better yet, it was their 16th time hitting 100-plus points this season, a brand-new WNBA record.
But the one thing about Clark is she’s not getting ahead of herself and is incredibly grounded, despite all of the attention and fan love.
Caitlin Clark wants Jess Shepard to join the Indiana FeverIONWNBA shared a video on their Instagram account asking WNBA superstars which player from another team they would want on their squad for the rest of the season.
Caitlin Clark‘s response was one of the most interesting, as she picked Dallas Wings forward Jess Shepard.
She said: “I’d probably steal Jess Shepard. She’s incredible.”
Jessica Shepard is putting together a career year leading the Dallas Wings frontcourt. She’s putting up 14.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game, as one of the league’s top playmaking forwards.
Meanwhile, Jackie Wilson, A’ja Wilson and a couple of other WNBA stars were mentioned.
